On 22 June, the first day of the 'Pairs Championship 2024' kicked off at MillCreek Golf Club, which now takes place over two days instead of several rounds during the golf season as before. Sponsored by the Kaya Palazzo Hotel in Belek, Turkey, there were two categories "Family Teams" and "Friends Team" which allowed golfers to decide who they wanted to play with: a friend, girlfriend, spouse or golf coach to compete for the main prize of 4 nights and a round of golf in sunny Turkey.

After breakfast and warm-up on the practice range, Anton Samsonov and Mikhail Lavrinenko announced the rules of the first day of the tournament, namely the format "Scramble 2-person with a minimum of 4 first strokes of each player". This format allows golfers to play together, familiarise themselves with KaleidoscopeGolf courses and, of course, enjoy playing in such a comfortable scramble format where you always have a chance to back each other up.

The weather in Vsevolozhsk was just perfect! Sunshine, light breeze and very fast greens. According to the results of the first day the leadership and the first cups were given to:

"Family scoring":

1st place - Sklyarovs Ilya and Alex with a gross score of 74 strokes (+2) and NETT score of 67 strokes (-5)

2nd place - Naryshkina Anna and Natalia with a gross score of 72 strokes (0) and NETT score of 69 strokes (-3)

3rd place - Oleg and Tatiana Ponomarev with a gross score of 82 strokes (+10) and NETT score of 75 strokes (+3).

"Friendly Scoring:

1st place - George Molodtsov and Javier Toll with a gross score of 69 strokes (-3) and NETT score of 66 strokes (-6)

2nd place - Kirill Korevsky and Sergey Inkin with a gross score of 71 strokes (-1) and NETT score of 66 strokes (-6) (on the second nine).

3rd place - Sergey Koinov and Kirill Seleznev with a gross score of 71 strokes (-1) and NETT score of 67 strokes (-5).

The closest shot among girls was made by Anna Moore, and the most accurate golfer among men was Oleg Ponomarev.

After words of thanks to the tournament partners: title partner of MillCreek in 2024 golf season, CF Moto company, Turkish hotel Kaya Palazzo Belek and Kaya Palazzo Golf Club, as well as the tournament's algol sponsor SimpleWine, the guests continued to enjoy the evening programme. On Saturday evening MillCreek Golf Club prepared a show programme with tricks for the guests and, of course, the sounds of saxophone, which perfectly complemented the pleasant evening communication between guests and golfers discussing the results of the first day. Golfers were preparing and discussing formats for the GreenSome, which awaited everyone on the second day of the 2024 Pairs Championship on Sunday.
