On 18 May, MillCreek Golf Club hosted the first day of the Season Opener with the support of Gloria Hotels and partners. The 2024 season at the golf club has several major tournaments scheduled over two days, where the first day is often a team event and the second day an individual format!

Early in the morning all golfers were greeted by the sounds of bagpipes, reminiscent of the origins of golf! The sounds of Scotland on the KaleidoscopeGolf courses echoed throughout MillCreek.

After golfer registration, breakfast and a short warm-up, Anton Samsonov, PGA Fellow golf professional and golf coach Michael Lavrinenko announced the opening of the 2024 golf season and wished the golfers a great game in the team standings!

After the snow that was just a week ago in the Leningrad region golfers were pleased with the completely windless weather and the temperature of +22 degrees on the first day of the tournament. Almost half of the golfers showed phenomenal results after the winter and lowered their handicaps on the first day of the tournament "Season Opening at MillCreek".

Prizes for the winners were provided by the tournament partners:

- The luxurious Gloria Golf Hotel which will open this year after renovation!
- SmileClinic chain of clinics
- Alcoholic partner of the tournament SimpleWine
- H&N Company - manufacturer of dairy and sour-milk products, as well as a line of baby food.
- JEI Keratin is a brand that develops high quality keratin formulations and products for hair care and restoration. Special shampoos and conditioners were presented to the winners of the tournament.

The closest shot among men - Sergey Tumanov

The best result of the day with handicap was shown by Savochkin Sergey, who played 51 stableford points, and the Best Gross of the day was played by Borisov Sergey with 78 strokes (plus 4 strokes).

3rd place in the team standings went to Sergey Borisov and Sergey Inkin with a total of 81 Stableford points.

2nd place - Sklyarov Ilya and Sklyarov Alex with a score of 83 points Stableford

1st place and vouchers for a weekend at Gloria Golf with golf were won by Zvantsev Vladimir and Kramarenko Evgeny, who totalled 85 Stableford points!

The evening programme continued with performances of artists, pleasant cocktails from the tournament partners and cigar tasting for all guests.
